Fresh Food Deliveries

Do you go to the supermarket just because it’s there and it’s close?

Struggling to get out of the house and over to a Farmer’s Market?
Are the kids tied up with sport on the weekend and keeping you away from Farm Gate sales?

There are a number of ways to buy local fresh food without needing to go to a supermarket for their sad old F&V. Delivered local fresh food shopping is a way that means that you save your time and energy for your family. And given the price of petrol it may even be easier on your budget.

One of the most convenient ways to shop is to order online to have it delivered to you. Another way is to have a standing order of a mixed box of fruit and vegetables sent to you from a farmer, a co-operative, a wholesaler or organic store on a weekly or twice monthly basis. Unlike orders, with boxes you generally tell them what you don’t want included this week.

Food delivered is not necessarily confined to fruit and vegetables, some suppliers also sell bread, eggs and dairy, while others even stock grocery items. Fresh meat is also available direct and in bulk from some farmers too. It’s a great way to ensure you still get the freshest, most nutritional produce.

We’re endeavouring to list as many delivery services that feature local and/or organic produce here and on the forum. If you have a favourite supplier, please share the love and let us know via our Grocery Store on the forum.

(We’re doing this for free in our spare time. Bit by bit, we will fill all these pages for you, but you will find updates at the forum too. Thanks for your patience.)
